Touched by an Angel
of man by strengthening the power of vision.
St. Thomas Aquinas
I've been touched by an Angel to write five things you may not know about me.
My first reaction to ‘being tagged’ was one of resistance, which when felt, immediately led me to try and better understand why and where the resistance was coming from. That was over two weeks ago.
Overcoming the resistance was easy, writing on such a personal level was not. I had written pages of material during this time in response to this and the writing just kept going on and on and on. After having sent some of it to a friend whose opinion I value a great deal, (Thank you Caitlin) it was decided to just keep this short and concise. So the first thing about me is there are certain qualities that I find irresistible to my nature while living here within this biosuit on the earthly plane that relate to my body, soul and spirit.
For everyone has faith in himself and that multiplied to the nth
degree is God. The sum total of all that lives is God. We may
not be God, but we are of God, even as a little drop of water
is of the ocean.” Mohandas Gandhi

“You have come from God, you are a spark of His Glory;
you are a wave of that Ocean of Bliss; you will get peace
only when you again merge in Him.” Sri Sathya Sai Baba
The ocean has always been a spiritual teacher and source of power, magic and healing for me. I grew up living in Malibu right on the beach and would go spear fishing almost daily in the morning with a dear friend. We would swim out to the kelp beds and catch our abalone, crab and spear some fish. As midday approached we would swim back with our catch, clean it, then enjoy a fantastic lunch. Afterward we would lay out on the beach and if the waves were good maybe surf for awhile. Then as the sun would go down, we would watch the sunset on the beach and call it a day. This was an idyllic time for me and was like living in paradise till I visited Maui where to this day it holds a very special place in my heart. The seven pools of Hana are truly a spiritual retreat and I will always have the memory of jumping off that bridge with a local who shared the same name as me. It was an amazing jump and an amazing day.
“If a man could pass through Paradise in a dream,
and have a flower presented to him as a pledge that
his soul had really been there, and if he found that
flowerin his hand when he awake - Aye, what then?”
Samuel Taylor Coleridg

“Not one or two, Subhuti, not one or two, but all the beings
- men, women, animals, birds, trees, rocks. All the beings
in the world. One should create such a determination that
`I will lead all of them into nirvana'.” Buddha
The second is my experience while fasting for 21 days several years ago and the spiritual experience that came from it. This is mainly what I was spending time writing on as it related to the awakening into unspace or what I call the Photizo of the Omega Point. Since this time I have been drawn to a universal point of consciousness and the universal symbols that represent it in every culture. Names, labels and ideas of this space act as a kind of hidden code within nature, literature, art, music, and multimedia. A universal interface between time and no time, space and unspace, within and without that speaks of everything in nothing. I am greatly interested in those who know what I am talking about and have experienced this in themselves on an experiential level and not the conceptual having walked out of the dream if you will.
“The philosopher is like a man fasting in the midst of
universal intoxication. He alone perceives the illusion
of which all creatures are the willing playthings; he is
less duped than his neighbor by his own nature. He
judges more sanely, he sees things as they are. It is
in this that his liberty consists / in the ability to see
clearly and soberly, in the power of mental record.”
Henri Frederic Amiel

That which the dream shows is the shadow of such wisdom
as exists in man, even if during his waking state he may know
nothing about it.... We do not know it because we are fooling
away our time with outward and perishing things, and are
asleep in regard to that which is real within ourself.
~Paracelsus, quoted in The Dream Game
The third thing is that I use Holosync every night without exception. I have found the use of Binaural Beat Technology a very efficient tool to bring meditation to the 21st century. Since I was a young boy when my parents took me to participate in a TM course I have used and or researched meditation and its benefits to the awakening of the mind in accessing deeper levels of consciousness and doing personal interior work. I can honestly say that even if you have never meditated before, Holosync will help to engage both hemispheres of the brain in communicating with each other through the olivary nuclei. This allows the brain to function on a more holistic level awakening one to deeper levels of their own inner being allowing you to visit and resolve those ‘experiences’ or ‘issues’ that have festered within you. I liken it to trying to suppress beach balls under water that take up so much energy in holding them down and keeping them from surfacing to the conscious mind. This creates stress and anxiety as our energy and immune system is compromised. By using meditation or Holysync you can literally “Free Your Mind” of all these repressed feelings and emotions and watch them bubble up as they become the object of your interior observation and thus released making for a happier more relaxed state of mind. I try to tell people about this technology but most never seem to use it long enough or understand interiority exploration for it to be effective. To all my friends, this really does work, “just keep swimming, just keep swimming” and soon you will see the bubbles of your life rise to the surface and experience a clarity of mind never thought possible.
No thought, no reflection, no analysis,
no cultivation, no intention; let it settle itself.

“Everyone sees the unseen in proportion to the clarity of his heart,
and that depends upon how much he has polished it. Whoever
has polished it more sees more - more unseen forms become
manifest to him.” Jalal ad-Din Rumi quotes
The fourth thing you may not know about me is that when I was growing up in Malibu California my best friend was Charlie Sheen and having attended Mickey Owen’s Baseball school together over a summer I was looking for a baseball career after high school. But one day while over at Martin’s house with Charlie, Emilio, Chris Penn and Tom Cruise, I had an incident with Tom that caused me to go to the hospital and have knee surgery effectively ending any hopes of a baseball career. While Tom was trying to teach Chris how to Roman Greco wrestle for High school, Tom asked me if I wanted to learn. I said sure, where upon he promptly threw me to the ground when I was not expecting and took my leg and shoved it into my back. This caused the cartilage to rip in my knee and I could no longer unhinge or straighten my leg without having surgery. This was one of the more severe life changing events as I was very disappointed and disillusioned at knowing that I had lost my window of opportunity to play at something I loved so much.

The fifth thing is that I went ahead and took some of those ‘which superhero are you’ surveys and these were the results.

Tarot Sun

You are The Sun
The meanings for the Sun are fairly simple and consistent.
Young, healthy, new, fresh. The brain is working, things that were muddled come clear, everything falls into place, and everything seems to go your way.The Sun is ruled by the Sun, of course. This is the light that comes after the long dark night, Apollo to the Moon's Diana. A positive card, it promises you your day in the sun. Glory, gain, triumph, pleasure, truth, success. As the moon symbolized inspiration from the unconscious, from dreams, this card symbolizes discoveries made fully consciousness and wide awake. You have an understanding and enjoyment of science and math, beautifully constructed music, carefully reasoned philosophy. It is a card of intellect, clarity of mind, and feelings of youthful energy.

Photizo, i love your textual-visual blogging and read them daily.
Please don't take this the wrong way, but i think it is hilariously preposterous that Tom Cruise ended your baseball career while showing you wrestling moves.
oh the psycho-dynamic work you must have had to do my friend. He is in the media every day!
If i ever write a movie script, that is going in there (with permission of course ;)
In sincerity, i feel your pain as well, i spent my entire youth with baseball aspirations, playing from the age of 5 until college. i still love to trot out into the outfield in anticipation of an heroic diving catch.
thank you for sharing.

Hello Casey,
thanks for the comments.
At the time of the incident with Tom I had made some connections with the leading college in baseball that had just won the college World Series. I regularly played on the all star team in Malbu/Santa Monica with other incredibly talented players such as Dean Cain, the TV Superman who went on to set the collegiate football interception record and I had been working with Pepperdine University coaches in preparation for a career.
As hilarious as it all may sound, if you know about the talent pool in Baseball, you know that you have a very short window of opportunity which truly begins in your senior year at High school. It was just at the beginining of the season when my knee was shreded by Tom. And it was more then mere moves, it was a full blown smack down on his part as my knee needed to be completely cut open and repaired, not just the typical arthroscopic knee surgery. I was lucky in that my surgeon was the US Olympic Ski teams orthopedic Specialist. But I was still out the entire year. I tried out for the Cincinati Reds two years later after having played a little semi pro ball in Missouri but it was too little too late.
So although I can appreciate the sense of incredulity of the event causing the ending of what may seem like a childhood fanciful dream of playing ball, I can assure you that any scout or coach will tell you that the window is small, the chances even smaller but absolutely impossible if you cant walk. I was told by scouts and coaches that I had more then a mere chance before this event.
As to the Pyscho Dynamic work, Dr. John Lilly and Dr. Nickalous Mastermateo were very helpful in dealing with issues much deeper then Tom and Baseball. Charlie, Rob Lowe, and others of my old friends are in the media everyday as well. We all have dynamics that tend to be more personally relevant then the lives that other people live as I am sure you would agree. My attempt at posting this was merely to point out a turning point in my life as well as note what I thought might be mildly entertaining and what I considered a unique experience in my life that I felt I could share.
not at all my friend, what i intended was that i know exactly how competitive baseball at that level is.
Amazing how seemingly miniscule events can re-shape the history of the world.
peace,

I played the Tarot Game ~ Pulled the STAR card
You are The Star
Hope, expectation, Bright promises.
The Star is one of the great cards of faith, dreams realised
The Star is a card that looks to the future. It does not predict any immediate or powerful change, but it does predict hope and healing. This card suggests clarity of vision, spiritual insight. And, most importantly, that unexpected help will be coming, with water to quench your thirst, with a guiding light to the future. They might say you’re a dreamer, but you’re not the only one.
